FEMS RESPONSE TO COVID-19
These are uncertain and rapidly changing times. FEMS has formed an Emergency Response Task Group to monitor the situation regarding the spread of COVID-19 and its consequences, and in a statement has responded to several key areas and provided links to important information on the novel coronavirus.
While FEMS has cancelled or moved online the physical events in 2020, all 2021 events are currently scheduled to go ahead as planned, following an assessment of circumstances and risks involved. The safety and welfare of our attendees and staff is our top priority. Consequently, FEMS will continue to review the advice and information from the relevant professional and governmental bodies who are monitoring the situation and update participants regularly.
We will keep you updated on this website and via the Congress newsletter, for which you can sign up here.
WELCOME TO THE FEMS2021 CONGRESS
It is a great pleasure to encourage you to participate in the 9th Congress of European Microbiologists - FEMS2021 - which will be held 11-15 July 2021 in Hamburg, Germany.
FEMS2021 will bring together leading scientists spanning different fields of microbiology to celebrate the best of microbiology. This congress will showcase the most recent developments in microbiology to address some of the global challenges we face today.
In fact, the FEMS Congresses are the only scientific meetings at European and international level providing a unique forum for interdisciplinary dialogue and discussion between all microbiological specialties ranging from basic research to applied and across all sectors – academic, policy, business, educational, and communications.
The Congress aims to inspire scientists to come together and collaborate on fresh new ideas freely without limits.
We hope you will join us for a great congress and look forward to welcoming you in Hamburg!
